JB Cloud, an 8th Generation Texan, was born in Taylor, Texas. JB grew up in and around the Austin area, moving from South Austin to Pflugerville in the 4th grade where he graduated. JB started his broadcasting career in 1993 at KOUL in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Before coming to KBCY in 1998, JB worked for 3 years at KBST in Big Spring.

JB is 6’4″ tall and has blue eyes.

JB always lends a helping hand to the community.  JB has received several community awards including a Humanitarian award from the Salvation Army and the Shriners.

JB has been nominated for several awards over his career. JB was nominated for Gavin Magazine’s Small Market Music Director of the Year in 1997

JB won the Texas Regional Radio Awards Large Market Radio DJ of the Year in 2012.

JB has been nominated for the past several years as Texas Radio DJ of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music and won the award in 2008 and 2010. JB also won their Palmwood Award in 2009.

He enjoys listening to country music, and his favorites are Randy Brown, George Strait, Tracy Lawrence, Kevin Fowler, Lucky Tubb, Jody Nix, Steve Helms, Aaron Watson, Jerrod Medulla, Bo Phillips and lots of other Texas Artists.

His hobbies include hunting and fishing, listening to Texas Music, Golf and collecting key chains and Ryne Sandberg (Chicago Cubs) baseball cards. He is fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas History and the Texas Rangers. JB DOES NOT LIKE BATS!!!

He is a former 4-H and FFA member, and even had the Reserve Grand Champion Hog at the 1987 Austin-Travis County Livestock Show and Rodeo.

JB became a Master Mason of Abilene Lodge 559 on June 9, 2005. JB became a Shriner in June of 2006. And, JB became a Sir Knight and finished his York Rite masonry on July 31, 2006, to become a Knights Templar. In the Summer of 2006, JB  “All of these organizations and groups have helped me become a better husband, father and person. I love to help others, especially children. JB is past President of the Abilene Shrine Club and is instrumental in spreading the word of the Good Things that Masons and Shriners do in our area. JB is now Past Master of Abilene Lodge 559, Past President of the Abilene Shrine Club, a Shriner Klown and Public Relations Chairman for the Shrine’s Suez Temple which is based out of San Angelo.

JB is on and has served on several Boards around the Big Country including Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, the Taylor-Jones Humane Society, The World’s Largest Chili Pot, Zops and Zopapolooza and more.
